I think Ben Horne is Laura Palmer's father (and that therefore they had an incestuous relationship) as well. No really strong evidence yet, but there are hints: Ben buying a pony for 12 year old Laura, Sarah seeing Laura's face in Donna (who would also be her half-sister), etc. J. J. Wheeler told Ben to tell the "hardest truth first", and Ben seemed to listen. That means, almost certainly, that he's going to tell a hard truth next episode. Now, he could tell something that we (the audience) already know, but that would be boring. He's going to drop a bombshell (it may be completely different than my little theory, though). Get it: Twin Peaks is a soap opera and always has been, straight from the pilot. Lynch+Frost sold it as a soap before the first episode was ever made. -- Joe Buck jbuck@janus.berkeley.edu {uunet,ucbvax}!janus.berkeley.edu!jbuck
