Subject: TP: 4/4/91, GREAT Episode (SPOILERS) From: rguion@ralph.mips.com (Richard Guion) Date: 1991-04-05, 13:42 Newsgroups: alt.tv.twin-peaks C'mon, Peaks-Freaks! What happened to the instant reviews of the episodes five minutes after they appeared on TV? It seems like people have lost interest here. Anyway, 4/4's episode was a return to greatness for the show. The opening scene with Eckhart's hit lady strangling Truman was gripping. I actually thought he *wasn't* going to make it there, for a few seconds. I thought, well, they might be cancelling the show, so this might be it for Truman! But I'm glad he survived the attack. Questions on the attack: What was it that the lady put on Truman's lips? Perfume? I'm going to have to go back and watch this again more closely. Also, I guess it's just for dramatic effect, but she certainly had plenty of safer ways to kill Truman than with the garotte. I was expecting the garotte to be wire-thin and sharp enough to cut through the skin. Nice romantic interplay between Cooper and the waitress, and Audrey and JJ. I was disappointed to see the postcard from James, though--I hoped that he was gone for good! I almost get sick when I hear that guitar playing that has become his theme song. I've had a sneaking suspicion about the upcoming Miss Twin Peaks event and Wyndham Earle's plans. I suspect that none of the 3 popular actresses (Audrey, Shelley, or Donna) will die, but that instead, Cooper's new love interest will die because of WE. The scenes in OWL CAVE were great. I assuming that was BOB in his owl form. I guess it was a lucky accident that WE saw the inverted sign and turned the bar upside down. It sure does look like something is emerging out of that wall now, doesn't it? I just wonder how this ties into the Black Lodge. Can't wait for next week! -- Richard Guion ---------------------------- "This product has | rguion@ralph.mips.COM | the official NINTENDO seal of ---------------------------- disapproval."
