Subject: TP vs Home and Away in OZ From: muzzle@cs.uq.oz.au (Murray Chapman) Date: 1991-04-10, 07:57 Newsgroups: alt.tv.twin-peaks Reply-to: muzzle@cs.uq.oz.au Hi there > > How does TP stack up against "Home and Away" (assuming it's still shown in > > OZ)? In the UK "The Waltons" generally has better viewing figures than TP. Hmmmm... let me see... Home and Away is shown at about 5:30 on a weekday... No-one I know watches H&A..... Twin Peaks is regarded the same as most of David Lynch's other work: either you love it or have never heard of it! Some people think that it is "too weird", and those that missed the first few episodes are completely lost..... The biggest rating TV show at the moment in OZ is (I think) "The Bugs Bunny Show", because of the lady that introduces it: Sophie Lee (an absolute HONEY, but a real fruitcake)... Neighbours has really declined in popularity... I guess that most people watch movies (no "Movie Channels" or any form of cable over here), or sport... Australia vs the West Indies at cricket this week.... Hope this has been some help.. Oops! I guess that I shoud mention that TP screens at 9:30 on a Tuesday night, against "Jake and The Fatman", and "In the Heat of the Night". +^o^+^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-+-o-+ | | Murray Chapman muzzle@cs.uq.oz.au | | | o | | o | | | University of Queensland "I'd rather have a bottle in front | | | o | St Lucia, Queenland of me than a frontal lobotomy" | o | | | AUSTRALIA - Mel Brooks | | | o | | o | +^-^+^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-------------+---+ \__ | o | Hate that! -----> +^-^-^-^-^-^-^- -- +^o^+^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-+-o-+ | | Murray Chapman muzzle@cs.uq.oz.au | | | o | | o | | | University of Queensland "I'd rather have a bottle in front | |
