Leo was none too smart before all the hell started happening to him; then he got shot, put in a coma, treated not very well, sent out into the woods, and repeatedly electro- shocked to the neck and head. As Bill Cosby used to say, "That's BRAINN DAMMAGE!!!" I thought maybe Leo would try to hit Earle with something when his back was turned, but I didn't think Leo would be so stupid as not to connect the collar around his neck with the trigger... Leo obviously is so screwed up he thought the little box was doing it to him magically.
