Subject: Re: the 4-18 episode!! From: bobg+@andrew.cmu.edu (Robert Steven Glickstein) Date: 1991-04-19, 11:34 Newsgroups: alt.tv.twin-peaks Will someone with the appropriate equipment PLEASE digitize the Major's gibberish and run it backwards? Who was the sad-looking man being fed breakfast by Hawk at the Sheriff's Station? Among Shelley, Donna, and Audrey, Audrey was presumably the only virgin before 2020. Annie may or may not be. Is this significant? Andrew seemed to have some foreknowledge about opening the middle puzzle box, especially when he wouldn't let Catherine try pressing the moons. Where did he get the foreknowledge, and why did he smash the last (but not the middle) box? Things that jittering right hands might be associated with: - Harold Smith's shaking when exposed to the sun; - The LMFAP's shaking just before saying, "!kcor s'teL"; - BOB's *right* hand appearing in the clearing; - Philip Gerard's seizure in the men's room. If TP is renewed, it certainly won't be helped by pessimism in our ranks, of all places. If JJW is gone and Audrey is heartbroken, and if Annie meets her demise in the coming confrontation and Cooper is heartbroken, then perhaps we'll be treated to something we've been led to expect since very early on! > > * Did anyone else notice: Right after the scene where Ben > > and Audrey are talking about Wheeler, Audrey leaves, then > > Ben is apparently startled by something behind him, and he > > turns around quickly. I'd hardly say that the box was disappointing; what do we know about the silvery object within? Nothing, so far. "Mom! Dad! Don't touch it! Refer to an earlier, well-informed (but here unattributed) post which talks about the Giant, as a representative of the White Lodge, being hesitant about directly interfering with corporeal events (hence his "cryptic and oracular" pronouncements to Cooper). His "unsubtlety" this time around should give us a clue about the urgency of his message. > > * In the very chaotic Earle/Briggs/computer scene, Earle > > said: "Dale wasn't far away; the cave painting is an > > invitation of sorts, telling us when the _______ begin." > > What's the missing word? The TP Access Guide is available, according to an order form in the back of The Autobiography of Agent Dale Cooper, right now from Simon & Schuster. Well, the owls *seem* to be harbingers of doom, carriers of evil spirits, and messengers from the Black Lodge. Of course, since "the owls are not what they seem," they're probably just owls :-) ______________ _____________________________ Bob Glickstein | Internet: bobg@andrew.cmu.edu Information Technology Center | Bitnet: bobg%andrew@cmuccvma.bitnet Carnegie Mellon University | UUCP: ...!harvard!andrew.cmu.edu!bobg Pittsburgh, PA 15213-3890 | (412) 268-6743 | Sinners can repent, but stupid is forever
