This is for real, y'all: I just got off the phone from talking to
William Grimes, a reporter for the _New_York_Times_ who's writing
an article on the whole Twin Peaks sub-culture--due for publication
in the Arts & Leisure section on Sunday May 5th.  It's going to be
about Twin Peaks fans, the international impact of Twin Peaks, COOP,
and alt.tv.twin-peaks.  I gave him all the stats and other info y'all
sent me & tried to set him straight (we'll see... (-:) about how computer
networks function and what USENET is; and he also has a copy of my
article for the _TP_Gazette_.  What a riot, huh?  We may not get into
_Rolling_Stone_--who knows, that's too far down the pike to predict--but
we are definitely getting nationwide media exposure.  Just what you
always wanted, right?  :-)  

Hey--don't knock it--you can show the article to Mom 'n' Dad.  :-) :-)
