The ominuous music indicates that falling for Annie is a Bad Idea. 2. Foreshadowing. The crashing plates and silverware (at the moment Cooper and Annie kiss) is a hint of the destruction that their love will bring. 3. The power of love. Some sort of tangible evil was massing at the RR at that moment and was driven away by the pure force of Cooper's and Annie's love. [This is the explanation I'm hoping is true; it would also mean that maybe the Major's worst fear won't come true!] ______________ _____________________________ Bob Glickstein | Internet: bobg@andrew.cmu.edu Information Technology Center | Bitnet: bobg%andrew@cmuccvma.bitnet Carnegie Mellon University | UUCP: ...!harvard!andrew.cmu.edu!bobg Pittsburgh, PA 15213-3890 | (412) 268-6743 | Sinners can repent, but stupid is forever
