Subject: The Mar-T/Double R Cafe From: halcyon!hikaru@seattleu.edu (Demosthenes) Date: 1991-04-27, 17:11 Newsgroups: alt.tv.twin-peaks I am lucky enough to live in Woodinville, Washington, not half an hour from the town of North Bend, where the pilot and some of first seaon TP was shot. Last night, my parents and I ate dinner at the Mar-T cafe in North Bend, used as the Double R for the pilot and first season. Naturally, there were Twin Peaks references up all over the place - phots of cast members, post cards, shirts for sale (my favorite: a shirt with the drawing of BOB on it, asking "Have you seen this man?"), not to mention a sign outside saying "Home of Twin Peaks Pies". And, what can I say? My parents and I did have some cherry pie, and some of the coffee, and it was _really that good_. Even parents, who don't care for the show, thought it was the best they'd had. In my father's words, "We'll take another four pieces of pie and a million gallons of coffee, please." ///////////////////////////////////\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ "I really hate guidance counselors.
