I just rewatched this scene on tape, so I though I'd bring up a few
points (sorry if they've been said before).

o   Pete does wave towards where he was looking, but it's sort of a
half-hearted, self-conscious wave.

o   The area he was looking at didn't seem to have any wood around it;
it looked like all stone.

o   I couldn't quite tell, but it looked like there was some sort of
painting (maybe abstract) where Pete was looking.
