Subject: Ben Did It!

I am trying to post alt.tv.twin-peaks and I hope this makes it as I am 
going through the vax at UC Berkeley.
  Nobody has said much about the possibility that Coop went after the wrong
man.  What if Leland did not do it (kill Laura)?  I mean there is a great
deal of evidence that points at Ben Horne.  
1. Why did Ben sign over ghostwood and all his holdings to Catherine for an
alibi for a crime he did not committ.  He is  interested in making money
why toss it all away?
2. What about BOB being in the Great Northern for 40 years now?  Leland 
certainly has not been there that long but Ben has.
3. They are trying to convince us that Ben is the father of Donna and that
has consummed the last few episodes.  I believe that Ben is the real father
(biological) of Laura ("I am gonna tell the whole world the truth about 
Ben" or something like it from Laura's secret diary).  The diary also points
directly at Laura being sexually abused by her father.  A great deal took
that as meaning Leland (I certainly did) but what if Ben is really her
father.  That evidence would then have to be pinned on Ben.
   I am not 100% sure of this theory but I do think that if this came out
the June 10th episode would be something special.  Also the net has been
dead of late and I think this might stir up some talk.  If not Ben (and
assuming Coop went after the wrong person in Leland) than who could have
killed Laura?
