First there was "Twin Peaks" the TV show -- but it was canceled (the last two episodes run next Monday). So why not "Twin Peaks" the movie? It's true: "Twin Peaks" will resurface as a big-screen movie for theatrical release, according to Hollywood insiders. David Lynch will direct the film version his series, which will star almost everyone from the TV cast. It will be double duty for "Peaks" semiregular Miguel Ferrer, who played uptight forensics expert Albert Rosenfield. Ferrer is set to star in a Lynch series pilot about a 1950s variety show. Ferrer plays the host. That takes care of bringing back one cult TV show in a new format. But why stop there, Mr Names & Faces wonders. How about "China Beach" as a Saturday morning cartoon show? Or "The Ten O'Clock News: The Musical"? Or, best of all, a mime version of "thirtysomething"? I believe the series pilot refers to Lynch/Frost's new production for TV called "On The Air". Lynch is doing a show about the 50's? That'll be a different. :-) -- Frederick J. Igo igo@hri.com Horizon Research, Inc. (617) 466-8300 "Whittlers should have at least seven fingers."
