I assumed that the glasses belonged to the banker chappie, not Andrew Packard. Has this been postulated already? Sorry if it has - it just seemed to me that the bank clerk had very large glasses and, like, this was a bit of a Lynchian joke, right, so he had them fly out of the window at the end.
