Subject: Twin Peaks a closed-ended series? From: jrk@sys.uea.ac.uk (Richard Kennaway) Date: 1991-08-02, 09:50 Newsgroups: alt.tv.twin-peaks Contrary to the opinions that have been expressed here, I have a persistent but vague memory of reading somewhere, before Twin Peaks even began in the UK, that it was originally conceived not as something open-ended, of indefinite length, but as being exactly three series long, with a proper beginning and end (and a large number of middles :-)); hence the unsatisfactory end to the second series when the funding was yanked, which is OK as a cliffhanger, but makes no sense on its own. Can anyone confirm or refute this? -- Richard Kennaway SYS, University of East Anglia, Norwich, U.K. Internet: jrk@sys.uea.ac.uk uucp: ...mcsun!ukc!uea-sys!jrk
