Subject: Don't Let This Net Die, Folks. From: as215@cleveland.Freenet.Edu (Alexander Aingworth) Date: 1991-08-05, 01:06 Newsgroups: alt.tv.twin-peaks Reply-to: as215@cleveland.Freenet.Edu I only began reading alt.tv.twin.peaks around the end of _Twin Peaks_'s television career. Upon the television finale, there was an obscene swell of message traffic, in which people discussed everything from the inanity of Donna Hayward's parentage to the all too fascinating journey into The Black Lodge. A significant portion of the message traffic was intelligent and quite compelling. Where has all of that energy gone, folks? Some idiots have suggested that alt.tv.twin.peaks meet its death, now that _Twin Peaks_ is no longer on the air. That is the most asinine thing I have seen on a.t.t.p. Why must this message net die? This place has always been an exchange of ideas and feelings. Despite the end of a television show, ideas and feelings live on forever, and can provide wonderful conversation for quite some time to come. Plus, _Twin Peaks_ may very well continue to be produced. I simply suggest that all who have watched and enjoyed or hated _Twin Peaks_ think back to the show and remember what had before inspired you to post and respond. I do not want to see this message net go. -- Alexander Aingworth/as215 -- Cleveland FreeNet 'It's a far, far better thing I do, than I have ever done before A far better resting place I go to, than I have ever known'
