On the subject of Golden Years finally getting interesting...

  You know, I had been betting from about episode 4 that the show was SO
boring and so slow and SO predictable that the guy just HAD to exhibit
superpowers for a Firestarter like finale...  From the previews to next
week, it looks like I'm right...

  I have to admit that the clock running backwards behind our hero as he
exhibited his tremendous powers was actually a nice touch...  I guess you
have to have a Stephen King cameo for anything interesting to happen...

  It's a pity, I think they have a very nice 3 hour movie hiding in the middle
of Golden Years.  It's too bad they didn't make it that way...  Unlike Twin
Peaks, the producers just don't seem to know how to use all the time that
was given to them...
