Subject: Re: SK's "Golden Years" gets strange? From: brettw@matt.ksu.ksu.edu (Brett Watson) Date: 1991-08-09, 11:26 Newsgroups: rec.arts.tv,alt.tv.twin-peaks I was just getting ready to post when I saw this note. After 3 hour long shows of absolutely nothing happening, I won't be tuning in next week to see the same thing happen, AGAIN! This show is dragging BUTT! We get 5-10 second seens watching the characters doing nothing. It seems to me that every episode shows: Gina whining about Harl getting younger and not wanting to run anymore. Terry saying things repeatedly like: 'if they catch us we'll just end up in body bags' or something equally stupid. The SHOP guy, what's his name? acting tough, throwing things and smoking his cigarettes. And on and on... I was really looking forward to a good series and it's just dwindled into garbage. This is all just IMHO but I'm seriously disappointed in King's work here. Yes, it was quite suspenseful to start with, and the suspense is still there but they simply could have crammed the last 3 show into one and we would've gotten the same effect. Why do they have to drag it out so? -=- Brett -- Brett Watson | brettw@ksuvm.ksu.edu | 'I will not draw naked 2031 Shirley Lane | bdw@phobos.cis.ksu.edu | ladies in class...'
