Subject: Some info on the film from today's Hollywood Reporter From: Theron Trowbridge (trowbrid@usc.edu) Date: 1991-08-13, 23:32 Newsgroups: alt.tv.twin-peaks From today's (8/13/91) Hollywood Reporter: Having acquired international distribution rights to the film version of David Lynch's "Twin Peaks," the year-old Spelling Films International is beefing up its sales department with the appointment of Dawn Handler to the newly created post of vp sales. [some non-related, silly industry stuff deleted] "Twin Peaks - Fire, Walk With Me," which SFI picked for international distribution is the first of David Lynch's three-picture deal with Cibi 2000, the new production company of the Bouygues Group, headed by French industrialist Francis Bouygues. With production scheduled to begin in September, "Twin Peaks" is expected to be one of the first projects Handler will sell at the October American Film Market. Handler will also oversee the marketing of SFI' first three films: Mark Frost's thriller "Storyville," starring James Spader and Jason Robards; Robert Altman's suspense thriller "The Player"; and the romantic comedy "Rules of the Game."
