I'm not sure what the situation is in the US, but here, the first series minus
the pilot was released as a two video boxed set (i.e episodes 1001 - 1007). I
was able to hire it from the local shop for $6. The first seven episodes of the
second series have also been released in a similar format, and again were
available for $6.
