Subject: Handling of the END! From: c9104666@wombat.newcastle.edu.au Date: 1991-09-08, 17:18 Newsgroups: alt.tv.twin-peaks The final two hours was excellent! Many of you said that it was disappointing, that if left to many unanswered questions..!!! Well i thought differently! i thought it quite appropiate that TP concluded with a memorable black lodge scene we it started with a memorable, and at the time a most confusing, dream sequence. Just as we pondered over the weird dream sequence, we can now ponder over the many complexities of the black lodge scene(and isn't there some pondering to be done). I think that TP is not totally dead! I think one day that we may well find out how cooper and BOB get on together....who survived the bomb blast( if anyone)....if ben horne is dead from the knock on the head......how donna copes with her father being ben and that her father might be dead...etc. David Lynch could have easily given us all want we wanted to see... good triumph over evil (coop defeat WE) and tie up all the loose ends. But he didn't...... he thought of what we would most hate to see and took that option. that's the man he is ...has he ever given people a nice easy to follow ending to any of his work!!..has he ever conformed! Frankly i would have been disappointed if he had. Good job David. brett.
