Subject: More ideas... From: ssharpde@cc.curtin.edu.au (Don) Date: 1991-09-10, 20:59 Newsgroups: alt.tv.twin-peaks This is just a couple of opinions. Firstly, I didn't notice any time that Cooper was avoiding water and if he did, I believe he would have only done it in the black lodge. Also, I believe as I did throughout the series that the Giant and the old man from the hotel were the one and the same as the giant said in the black lodge. I don't believe the dwarf fitted into the picture as he was seen at the same time as the giant. Being one and the same, the giant and the old man weren't shown together. In think it was one interesting observation in news that the white lodge and black lodge were both shown in the final episode. In that case, did the people seem to be separated by the rooms? I remember seeing Bob in one manifestation or another in both rooms. This leads me to believe that only the black lodge was shown in the final episode. Besides which, if one room was the white lodge then it certainly didn't fit the picture I had of it. On the matter of which Cooper came out of the black lodge, I am pretty certain that it was the Dopelganger(Dopelgangers only display their unusual eyes when in the black lodge) of Cooper that came out. The big question is - is it the real Annie which came from the black lodge or another dopelganger? I don't think that the Annie which came out is in any way affected as Bob seems to inhabit only one host at a time. I think this is what was happening in the Black lodge scenes - Cooper was seeing both the captured people(entranced by the force of the black lodge whilst in the middle of the sycamore trees) and then seeing them (in some cases) in a Bob-inhabited state. Remember Laura coming at Cooper over the lounge chair with Bob's motions exactly? Also, remember when she was screaming and then stopped suddenly as Bob left her? I think there is only one copy of each person in the lodge(except Cooper) but they are inhabited by Bob while they are there. I do have a couple of questions though - 1.What is the BEST version of the Twin Peaks pilot? - The US version or the Euroversion? 2.Are the entire first and second series available in Australia on video or only portions of them? This is my first post(good to see new participants eh?) so I hope I haven't wasted my ideas and typing on a message that won't send!! Keep on Peaking.....
