Where exactly are you posting from? In America the first series ended with Cooper getting shot, and the BOB / Who Killed Laura Palmer plot ended nine episodes into the second. Maybe the break was different overseas. It's been hashed out for a long time here that the brilliant deductive genius from the early episodes completely lost it in the middle of season two.
