Subject: No TP in NZ From: higham@waikato.ac.nz Date: 1991-09-18, 20:22 Newsgroups: alt.tv.twin-peaks Gee, writing out TP programme episodes word for word sounds wonderful, here in New Zealand we have had the third series canned, its just awful. TV3 initially hyped TP heavily but their ratings, which were never wonderful, failed to live up to expectations, they made Coop and co scapegoats. They have promised to reinstate it within 3 months so we're all hoping, the last thing we saw was Coop and Major Briggs in the forest, Briggs went for a piss and then all hell broke loose, that was over a month ago. I miss TP so much, and the news talk about the series sounds brilliant. The reason I write this is that recently some guy in Sweden was bemoaning the fact that one episode had failed to reach them, man, you're the lucky ones! If they don't reinstate TP, is there anyone out there who could copy the tapes in the meantime? I'm just desperate to know how Andy and Lucy get it together, if indeed they do! My absolute favourite quote has to be when Albert is explaining to Sheriff Truman his philosophy on peace-violence etc "The basis for this..is love... I love you Sheriff Truman", to which Coop replies wistfully, "Alberts path is a strange and difficult one". (Sorry if not totally correct!)
