Not to sound like another net-naysayer, but yea, how do we know you are for
real?  It seems as likely to me that someone would make this stuff up as 
it is that a TP writer would be spending time on this net.

I have something which may help.  earlier I posted a passage from an 
'official' copy (actually it looked more like a xeroxed bootleg) of the 
original script of the pilot.  You'll recall Doc Jacoby's audio tapes 
of Laura that he kept in his coconut; during one scene in the pilot he
puts one in and before he puts the headphones on his head you can hear her
talking about the woods, some guy with a red car etc...

In this script, however, she says that last night she had a dream in which
she was telling all her secrets to an old man, I assume this was later cut
for whatever reason.  At any rate in seems clear that DL & co. 
thought at least this far in advance (at least three episodes) during 
the pilot so its possible that they thought further ahead as well.
