Subject: Dreamself & Non-helpful SDC (was John Cleese) From: giovin@medr0.ecs.umass.edu (Rocky J Giovinazzo) Date: 1991-09-20, 10:33 Newsgroups: alt.tv.twin-peaks In article <1991Sep20.023955.33717@kuhub.cc.ukans.edu> 2fowgodson@kuhub.cc.ukans.edu writes: > >If Senor Droolcup was indeed the Giant (who we have decided is Mr. Homm) > >why didn't he help coop when he was shot? The Giant seems to be limited by something or someone. He told Cooper in his first visit "That is all I am permitted to say," and also answered, "That cannot be revealed," when asked where he was from. Therefore, it is not unreasonable to assume that if SDC was aware of Cooper's bleeding he may not have helped him because he either knew that he didn't need to or because he was not permitted to do so. In reference to the Giant/SDC relationship, I thought it was interesting to note that in _Industrial Symphony No. 1_ (of which TP seems to be derivative of) Julee Cruise plays the part of the "Dreamself of the Brokenhearted Woman" (Laura Dern was the Brokenhearted Woman). I guess we could use this term (dreamself) to describe the SDC/Giant relationship. > >and what exactly is the gum thing? (that gum you like is coming back in style) That's classified. (although there is a reference to Gumm in Dale's autobiography). Rocky Giovinazzo
