I am posting from Australia, where TP was shown as a single season. I have only recently discovered this newsgroup and thought that the second season began after Leland's death. I stand, or sit corrected. (some lines deleted) >> >> As for the rest of the final episode, I enjoyed it a lot, especially >> >>with DL back in the directorial chair. An FBI agent, faced with a serial killer of known appearance, who knows the killer is in the area, and what does he do? Does he organise massive searches of the forest and the town? Are there pictures of WE all over the town with "Have You Seen This Man" written on them? Does he call in another 50 agents to help capture this blot on the Bureau's copybook? No, he gets himself a new girlfriend! I wonder if Cooper's mental degeneration may result from his association with the Giant? Senor Droolcup's idiocy may not be entirely accidental. Of course the real reason is that the original Cooper would have solved all of TP's mysteries in about 5 episodes. Still it doesn't excuse the dissappearance of the wonderfully interesting Coop of the pilot and his replacement by the FBI's answer to Shirley Maclaine! But you're right - this has probably been thrashed to death: I just couldn't help posting about it. This is the tragedy of the new news addict. Gal502@csc1.anu.edu.au a.k.a Graeme Lindsell.
