Subject: RE: Final episode (speculation) From: castiglionec@merrimack.edu Date: 1991-09-25, 09:07 Newsgroups: alt.tv.twin-peaks Just a few speculations on the last twenty minutes of the final episode... 1) Cooper's bleeding- The Black Lodge supposedly transcends time and space, right? So cause and effect don't neccesarily follow chronologically. The wound could therefore be from Earle stabbing Cooper near the end of the sequence; remember that immediately following this, time reverses, and Earle removes the knife. No more wound! With time running backwards, this works. 2) Was Cooper in the Lodge after all? Cooper may very well have entered the Black Lodge, but lost his way. Recall that while he's in the Waiting Room, the dwarf says,"The next time you see me, it won't be me," or words to that effect. The next time Cooper sees the dwarf, the dwarf says,"Wrong way," and Cooper leaves that room. But, according to the dwarf himself, that wasn't him, and so Coop was mislead. I personally feel that his fate was sealed from then on. Feedback of (nearly) any kind is welcome. Speculatively yours, Chris
