Subject: TVGuide blurb From: sjohnson@texas.vlsi.sgi.com (Scott Johnson) Date: 1991-09-30, 23:23 Newsgroups: alt.tv.twin-peaks From the TV Guide's "TV News Update": 'More of Laura in "Twin" Film' The new "Peaks" is a prequel. That's the early word from the set of the big-screen "Twin Peaks" project, reportedly a look at the seven days leading up to Laura Palmer's death. This time around, Laura (actress Sheryl Lee) will be the main character, not FBI agent Dale Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan). MacLachlan had initially refused to take part in the project, which began filming in early September in Seattle. But the actor's longstanding relationship with director David Lynch induced him to do the movie. Officially called "Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me," the feature reunites cast members Joan Chen, Frank Silva, Ray Wise, Peggy Lipton, Michael Ontkean, Everett McGill, Grace Zabriske, Dana Ashbrook, and James Marshall. New additions include: Chris Isaak, Harry Dean Stanton and David Bowie. Among the major absentees will be Sherilyn Fenn. With all these actors, however, the film, intended for 1992 release, is still not guaranteed a major American release. So far, Spelling International is handling foreign sales, but no domestic distributor has yet been found. -- sj
