Subject: Re: German TV station forgets SPOILER warning From: sture@lulea.telesoft.se (Sture Jonsson) Date: 1991-10-04, 11:12 Newsgroups: alt.tv.twin-peaks The same thing happened here in Sweden. The Swedish national television company bought TwinPeaks and it got ENOURMOUS ratings (at least at first). That probably pissed off one of the Swedish owned cablechannels called TV3 so much that one of their 'most popular' showhosts showed a sign with the killers name during one of his shows. Before showing it, he said something like 'we are going to show you a sign with the killers name, so if you don't want to know, you should close your eyes until I tell you to look' and of course MANY MANY people didn't close their eyes... and some, like me, just happened to switch to that channel while the sign was shown (which incidentally was just a minute or so after a Twin Peaks episode had ended on the Swedish television channel...) Oh well, I enjoyed the series anyway.... I just don't like it when they deliberately try to ruin the joy of other people, but maybe that's what market competition is all about.... Long live the Peaks, Sture
