Subject: Why don't the GIFs work?

I've downloaded the GIF files from the TP archive site, but all
of them seem to be broken. I get a "short read within data", and
a line of garbage followed by black space. Any hints from the 
original poster? E-mail to me if I'm just doing something 
stupid..or feel free to flame me, I don't care. Just help me
get these suckers to display right!
