I'm not sure if this has been answered as our news feed has been down, but if not, here goes: The actual name of the strip is "The Angriest Dog in the World" and one nationally distributed source of it is "Comic Relief" magazine. This monthly comics digest carries the full month's run of _Calvin & Hobbes_ _Outland_, _Doonesberry_, _Life In Hell_, and columns by _Dave Barry_, _Ian Shoales_, _Joe Bob Briggs_, _Stephanie Brush_ and _Dr. Science_. (Along with scads of the best of the previous months editoral cartoons.) For the past six or so months they have carried TADITW to universal revilement. "The Angriest Dog..." is the only strip that one can truely say that if you have seen one you have seen them all. The "artwork" is *Exactly* the same in every issue: Five boxes: 1 - The introduction "The dog who is so angry he cannot move. He cannot eat. He cannot sleep. He can just barely growl. Bound so tightly with tension and anger, he approaches the state of rigor mortis." 2 - The first panel - The dog chained to a stake, straining to get to the tree. In the background is a fence, in the distance is a smoke-belching factory. The house is on the right, and the picture window through which word ballons float. Sometimes this is the only panel that has _any_ dialogue. 3 & 4 - *Exactly* the same as 2. 5 - The same as 2, 3 & 4 except at night. That's it. Lynch probably *faxes* the damn thing in. Now I am a _big_ fan of Twin Peaks and feel that I am fairly attuned to the Lynchian mood and method but this strip is, in a word, shit. The text is the sort of thing that most folks wouldn't consider putting in their .sig line. If you wish to catch it in Comic Relief, The Jan. issue will be it's last appearence. So many readers wrote in to complain that is going away. Chris Williams katefans@chinet.chi.il.us P.S. I am not associated with "Comic Relief" other than the usual way of purchasing it every month, thus assuring it's survival.
