I saw an interesting blurb the other night on _Movie Television_, a Canadian
production that does behind-the-scenes interviews with the cast and directors
of new movies.

Anyway, they showed the making of a film based on a Kurt Vonegunt (sp?) novel.
It consisted of a series of short stories, the last of which starred Don
Davis (Major Briggs). In this film, he plays a US military officier/diplomat
who gets caught up in a revolution in South America.

The climax of the film involves a life-size chess game!

Unfortunately, I didn't catch the name but I believe it is to be released 
relatively soon.

Talk about deja-vu!
