The original pilot movie is *not* counted in the episode numbering. } In the British version, Maddy looks down at the bloodstain in the rug } and sees an image of BOB. What happens in the US (original) version? She sees just the bloodstain. There's no image of BOB. Otherwise, the scene is identical. I think the addition of the BOB image adds to the scene. Just seeing an image of a bloodstain might be scary, but I think it would be more likely to evoke puzzlement rather than screaming fear. Seeing BOB in the stain also makes a basis for her later reactions at seeing BOB (not that the sight of BOB crawling over the furniture wouldn't be frightening enough). -- "They say the best things in life are free."
