Here's a recent and probably even more vague connection. On Northern Exposure this week, Ruth Ann gave Maurice some gum to bury with his recently departed friend. "It's for Bill. Black Jack [gum] was his favorite." Which was also Leland's "most favorite gum in the world." If it's on NE which has high ratings, then I guess it really is coming back in style. ...more on this later... right now I have to check out my ceiling tiles which seem to form the image of BOB.
