After all the wonderful imagery Maj. Briggs spouts in the re-telling of his dream to Bobby -- radiant, dazzling marble constructions and the like -- I had kind of expected that the White Lodge would be something a bit more lavish (and DISTINCTIVE)... not just the same old curtains and patterned linoleum! In the intrim between the end of the series and the broadcast of the finale, a friend of a friend had come up with his own scenario of what the expected White Lodge/Black Lodge encounter would be like... The imagery and evocative descriptions of his creation were infinitely more satisfying than what we all eventually saw!
