I don't agree. the Lynch imagery was just fine in this part of the movie, but there was not enough plot advancement for me. Too little new was presented. And for the audience of those who have never seen any of the TV series, the movie was seriously flawed in that too many characters were introduced peripherally with little or no development and little or no meaning to the plot. (eg.
