Subject: Major Mistakes in "Teen Movie Critic" review in Montreal's Gazette From: berthiau@IRO.UMontreal.CA (Andre Berthiaume) Date: 1992-09-03, 12:02 Newsgroups: alt.tv.twin-peaks I just could NOT believe my eyes when I read this so-called review for the Twin Peaks movie in today's paper. Apparently it's part of a "Teen Movie Critic" review column they have every week. Basically let me point out some of the things this "kid" wrote! 1) He referred to BOB as "Rob". 2) He was reassured by the paper's "senior" critic Bill Brownstein that the movie was bad to begin with. Already this kid's opinion of the movie has been biased! The movie up here is rated at 16+ and the theatre we went to required proof of age. So I'm wondering just how old this "Teen Movie Critic" was when he went to see this movie! And frankly I find it inappropriate for the movie to have been reviewed by a teen! Because this means that this movie can be seen by teens under 16, which it isnt. ALSO, there was a picture accompanying the article. It was a photo of James on his bike with Laura standing by him. The caption? (get this) "Biker Bobby (Dana Ashbrook) talks with Laura (Sheryl Lee) in the movie." ARGH!!! I just can't believe this article was even published! If anyone reading this post in the Montreal area knows who is to be contacted about such mistakes, PLEASE let me know! Thanks!
