I concurr with ingria@BBN.COM that an angel did cut Ronette's bonds.  

And I'm amazed that someone remembered the angel at the mill,
but wasn't Shelly the one who claimed that an angel saved her?
This angel being Catherine?  There could be a number of reasons why Shelly
didn't divulge the identity of the 'Angel'.  

I looked in the timeline and allusions, but the scene isn't described
in great detail.  I'll have to look on tape, unless someone beats me
to it.
