From: Summer Storm Joji Matsuo asks: Who was with Leo when Bobby and Mike ego to the woods to pick up the football of cocaine? One of the Bernaud(sp) brothers? [early episode] **We're never told, but it very well could have been Bernard Renault (one of the Renault brothers). When Bob leaves Leland's body in that scene where the sprinklers come on in the jail cell, why does Leland always say "They made me do it"? Why doesn't he say 'He' made me do it, as in BOB? **My guess is that he's had encounters w/other members of the lodge. Did Donna, after Mrs. Tremond (middle-aged lady) gives her the letter from Harold, know that Leland is Laura's killer? I get that impression, because otherwise it doesn't explain why she went to their house to tell Leland about the secret diary. **I wouldn't think Donna suspected Leland. She didn't look scared until he hugged her to him really hard when they were dancing. Also, she didn't bring anyone with her to help if she ran into trouble. She just wanted to tell Leland that there was more evidence. Also, didn't Harold kill himself the night after Donna and Maddy try to take the diary. How did he manage to mail that letter to Donna? **He really just needed to leave the letter for the postal worker before he commits suicide. **questions are never trivial Where does Bobby take this receipt to claim Leo's old boots from? A shoe repair shop? If so, would it not be possible for the repair shop to accidentaly come across the tape in the sole? Or were they just suppose to clean the shoes? **As long as the shoe shop was not instructed to look at/repair the heels in any way, they probably wouldn't have pried (sp?) them off. It was a careless thing for Leo to do. He has a history of carelessness: going to secret meetings in a red corvette, giving Shelly the bloody shirt w/the rest of his laundry, etc. Not the brightest guy...(Formerly appearing at Calhoun Memorial as Mr. Potato(e?) Head Is Mrs. Tremond's grandson played by David Lynch's son or something? **Yes. In the series the little magician is played by Lynch's son. Not in the movie. My guess is that he's at an age where he's not so little anymore. In the roadhouse, the night Maddy is killed, Donna is sitting in a both with James. The Giant tells Cooper that it is happening again. He goes, she starts crying. Why? Also, Bobby has this remorseful look on his face. Why? **My guess is that the people feeling sad, ie. Donna and Bobby, it were experiencing some kind of paranormal emotional response to something that they didn't even know was happening. Prior to crying, Donna seemed to be getting back into a good mood, as she was smiling at James and mouthing the words, "I want you, right back inside my heart." Remember, also, Senor Droolcup comes over to Cooper and says, "I'm so sorry." Wouldn't you like to see the one with Ben doing the killing scene? **Absolutely! Scott Gorcey writes: >> >>Does anyone know if the Log Lady saw the Giant up on the stage. > >No. We don't know. Yes we do. She saw the whole thing... She's moving during the visitation... **I just rewatched that whole scene. I agree, if you look at when Coop first sees the giant, Margaret's fingers are stroking the log when everyone else is supposed to be still. BUT, if you look at the top right hand portion of your screen, one of the sailors is also moving slowly, so I'm not sure if that just wasn't one of those careless little things. I agree that she knows that something significant has taken place, but not necessarily that she saw the giant communicating w/Cooper. **General question: Why does anyone think that Dr. Jacoby was w/Leo during the football scene w/Mike and Bobby? If Leo hadn't known anyone was w/him, maybe. But Leo tells them not to worry about who's there, so he knew. I just never got any clues that Jacoby was in league w/Leo in any way, except that they both have secret relationships w/Laura. On a tape to Jacoby, Laura refers to Leo as a Mystery Man; then she gives away who he is by telling about a red corvette. Jacoby does follow the red corvette one night, but due to his lack of horsepower, he loses it. This would indicate that they were not working together. Also, Jacoby was trying to help Laura get away from cocaine; the same can not be said for Leo!
