  I'm surprised I have not seen any postings about Picket Fences.  This is 
another Twin Peaks rip-off which is being touted as the "best show of the new 
season."    

  The show is pleasantly quirky.  The advertisement boasts, "Picket Fences; 
the only thing predictable is the traffic light."  There is an irate medical
examiner and a dwarf dispatcher at the police station.

  This week's episode featured a number of serial crime victims which had one 
HAND cut off.  They were called "one ARMED men."  What a stretch!  The crime
was being investigated by the FBI, and of course the FBI was in conflict with
the local police over jurisdiction. 

  OK, so I'm angry.  First Northern Exposure, now this.  Lynch's legacy lives 
on network TV, but I miss the quality and suspense of Twin Peaks.
