You forgot IMHO. :) I prefer to think of it as "Lynch Lite". Less violence & darkness, familiar odd-ball characters. I would recommend Twin Peaks fans at least check it out and make up their own minds. Yes, it's not as good as Twin Peaks, but it's better than yet-another-stupid-family-sitcom, or yet-another-gritty-cop-drama. I predict it won't last too long, but then nothing lasts too long on network TV. So check it out while you can. Some good points of the show: The smart-alec son who is always pulling pranks and getting into trouble. Contrast this realistic, funny portrayal against the typical stereotypical sitcom smart-ass kid who is always wise-mouthing his stupid parents. The actor has previously played Marshall's best friend on Eerie, Indiania. I like the character of the male deputy. I enjoyed the story about his romance with the traveling singer. I think he does a good job of portraying somebody with a good heart, who has been burned in the past, and who is awkward at expressing himself. I like the mother character, who comes across a person trying to be a good parent, while having to deal with some unruly kids. Some bad points of the show: As noted, it can tend to be a bad David Lynch imitation. Teenage daughter is truly annoying. Refugee-from-Poltergeist female phone operator is annoying. Female deputy is not very interesting. -- Joel
