     The show is pleasantly quirky.  The advertisement boasts, "Picket Fences; 
   the only thing predictable is the traffic light."  There is an irate medical
   examiner and a dwarf dispatcher at the police station.

The dwarf dispatcher might also be a reference to ``Police Squad'',
which had some episodes with giant and dwarf police officers.  (In
fact, I've often wondered if Lynch didn't nick some of his TP effects
from the ZAZ crowd.  _Top Secret_ had a scene in which the hero and
heroine go looking for help from a Swedish book dealer.  The
``Swedish'' is English read backwards (ala Lodge Speak) and is
subtitled.  Hmm...
