Well, I'm in not position to discuss _Picket Fences_, since I've never seen it,
but I have to defend _Northern Exposure_ which I have a hard time thinking of
as a _TP_ ripoff, since I believe it first aired either during the season when
_TP_ debuted or shortly thereafter (meaning it had to be in development well
before _TP_'s debut)
