I'm not prepared to say the the grandson is an inhabiting spirit, but he
does appear to be a magician.  The MFAP and he both rub their hands and
do magic tricks.  So does the Giant/SDC.  So it would appear that there
are indeed three different instances of the same general type.

However, note that there are some differences here. The old woman and her
grandson always appear together while the Giant and SDC never do.   The
relationship between the MFAP and Mike is somewhat confusing.  Some of
what is presented identifies MFAP with Mike's arm  while the OAM is
identified with the rest of Mike.  I suspect that part of what is going
on is that OAM and MFAP stem from the beginnings of TP while the others
evolved later and may reflect some revisionist thinking.
